Two-week weekly ads: stores whose sales last 14 days or more
Published October 9, 2026
Harbor Freight’s current flyer runs September 29 to October 12, 2026. That’s two weeks on one set of prices, from a store most people assume changes its ad every week. Other chains run two-week weekly ads too, and some weekly grocery stores quietly run a second, longer book alongside the weekly one.
Here is which stores run longer ads, how long each one lasts, and how to shop a sale that gives you a second week.
1. Find the stores with two-week ads
These stores run their main ad for about two weeks, so a new one starts every other week. The start day stays the same, but only every second one brings a new ad.
| Store | New ad starts | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Harbor Freight | Every other Tuesday | 2 weeks |
| La Michoacana Meat Market | Every other Wednesday | 2 weeks |
| Bristol Farms | Every other Wednesday | 2 weeks |
| Menards | Wednesday | About 12 days per sale |
From the valid dates on each chain’s flyer, as collected on USA Weekly Ads in October 2026.
A few details for each one:
- La Michoacana: the current ad, called “especiales quincenales,” runs Sep 30 to Oct 13, 2026. Prices can vary by zone.
- Harbor Freight: its flyers run Tuesday to Monday for two weeks. The last two ran Sep 15 to 28 and Sep 29 to Oct 12, 2026.
- Menards: each sale sets its own length. The current 11% rebate sale runs Oct 7 to 18, and the one before ran Sep 30 to Oct 11.
2. Watch for weekly stores with a second, longer book
Some stores change their main ad every week but also run a longer book next to it. It’s easy to miss, because you only see it if you look past the weekly ad.
| Store | Weekly ad | Longer book (current) |
|---|---|---|
| Winn-Dixie | Wednesday to Tuesday | In-Store Flyer, Sep 30 to Oct 13 (2 weeks) |
| Cermak Fresh Market | Wednesday to Tuesday | Produce flyer, Thursday to Wednesday, every two weeks |
| Acme | Friday to Thursday | Health, Home & Beauty flyer, Oct 2 to 15, 2026 (2 weeks) |
From the valid dates on each chain’s flyers in fall 2026.
The practical rule: open every flyer your store has, not just the weekly one. A price in the longer book can beat the weekly ad, and it lasts much longer, so you can wait for a trip that suits you.
3. Know the ads that run a month or more
A few stores go further. Their ads run long enough that “weekly” doesn’t apply at all.
- BJ’s Wholesale Club: Smart Saver books run about a month, and two can be valid at once. One ran Sep 8 to Oct 11, 2026, and the next Sep 29 to Nov 1.
- Jetro Cash & Carry: a monthly specials flyer (October runs Oct 1 to 31, 2026).
- General Discount: a monthly ad.

4. Shop a two-week ad the smart way
A two-week ad changes how you plan. You get more time, and that’s worth using on purpose.
- Read the end date first. Write it down. That’s your deadline for everything in the ad.
- Split big purchases across two trips. Buy half the meat in week one and half in week two, and keep less in the freezer.
- Check for short deals inside the ad. Friday specials, weekend sales, and one-day deals have their own dates.
- Compare with a weekly store in week two. If your other store’s new ad has a better price, buy it there.
- Don’t wait until the last day for front-page items. Popular deals can sell out before the ad ends.
The second week is often calmer. The rush for front-page deals happens in the first few days, and by week two the crowds are gone. If an item is still in stock, it’s an easier trip.
5. Tell a two-week ad from a weekly one
You don’t need to memorize which stores run longer ads. The flyer tells you, if you know where to look.
- Read the valid dates. Count the days between them. Seven days means weekly. Thirteen or fourteen means two weeks.
- Look for the words. “Quincenales” in Spanish, or “2-week sale,” “biweekly,” or a long date range in English.
- Check our store page. Each store’s page on our site shows the dates of the current ad, so you can see the length at a glance.
For start days at every other store, see what day does the weekly ad change.
Bonus: line up a two-week store with a weekly one
Pairing one of each gives you a steady rhythm. Here is an example with a two-week store that starts on Wednesday and a weekly store that also starts on Wednesday.
| Week | Two-week store | Weekly store |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | New ad: stock up on the best deals | New ad: shop the front page |
| Week 2 | Same ad: buy the rest, compare | New ad: compare with week 1 store |
| Week 3 | New ad | New ad |
An example schedule. Use your own stores’ start days.
Where to start
Open the current ad for each store you shop, and count the days between the valid dates. If any of them run two weeks, put the end date on your calendar, not the start date.
